WHEN it comes to Valentine extravaganzas, the Plough Arts Centre always like to pull out the stops.
These are special events where the Plough auditorium is transformed into a romantic café and cocktail bar.
This year romantic European vibes will be provided Mazaika, a duo consisting of virtuoso violinist Sarah Harrison and versatile singer and accordion player Igor Outkine who will be playing his one-man orchestra midi accordion.
Mazaika play a selection of romantic songs from Italy, Spain, France, Russia and England plus classical, gypsy jazz and tango.
In addition there will be a three course Valentine dinner served in the restaurant and the gallery at 7pm.
"So, if you are wondering how to treat your nearest and dearest on Valentine's Day this is an evening full of romantic promise that won't be forgotten for a long time," said marketing manager Julie Cooke.
Mazaika play at the Plough Arts Centre, Torrington on Friday, February 14, 8.30pm. Tickets: £14 (adult), £12 (concession), £10 (plough supporter). Box office: 01805 624624. Three course dinner £15 on 01805 625925.
