AN Ilfracombe man has appeared before a Crown Court judge via video link from Exeter Prison accused of a knife attack in the town.
Mark Hazelden, 32, of Market Street, Ilfracombe, did not enter a plea during the short preliminary hearing during which a provisional trial date was set for January next year.
He is accused of wounding Kelly Shipsey during an incident in Ilfracombe on August 1 this year, causing her grievous bodily harm.
The charge relates to an injury she allegedly suffered to her arm from a knife.
Judge Francis Gilbert, QC, Recorder of the City of Exeter set a timetable for the progress of the case and a date of November 7 for the next hearing.
He remanded Hazelden in custody.
