MAD about Madness? Then don't miss Small Pond Productions latest show, Our House – The Madness Musical. It promises to have you in stitches and dancing in the aisles.
"This show really has something for everyone," said director Lee Baxendale. "It's a brilliant story that has lots and lots of laughs and it includes some of the greatest songs ever written: Baggy Trousers, It Must Be Love, Wings Of A Dove, Our House and practically every well-known Madness song you can think of."
The modern-day love story follows the journey of 16-year-old Joe Casey and the different paths his life takes after he commits a petty crime. It's written by Tim Firth (Calendar Girls and Kinky Boots) and won the Olivier award for Best New Musical when it opened in London in 2002.
"Rehearsals have been amazing," added Lee. "The songs are just so much fun to work on and the cast are wonderful. They bring out the hilarity, and also the pathos, brilliantly.
"The energy of the show is buzzing and Carol Turner's fabulous choreography is something that should not be missed."
The show is performed by a cast of 34 and is backed by a live band breathing life into the classic Madness hits.
