IN the wake of its BBC Three debut last month, Europa Park in Woolacombe is finalising plans for its first music festival. All the frivolity of the TV show is promised but with a twist.
Although Europa Park is already known for its crazy themed nights, the festival has provided a new and unique challenge for young bar and entertainments manager, Joey Jobling, a focal star of BBC’s Who Needs Ibiza: The Great British Holiday.
Headliners include X Factor finalists MK1 and comedian Yianni Agisilaou. Also on the bill is up-and coming star, Sam Evans. At just 18 years old, Sam has performed over 75 sets in the past 12 months at venues such as Earls Court, Exeter’s Mama Stones, plus festivals such as Dot to Dot, Bristol Harbour fest and Party in the City in Bath.
Also performing are regular Europa Park visitors, A Poetic Yesterday. The festival is on Saturday, May 3. Tickets are available in advance for £29.50 or £35 on the day (subject to availability), although accommodation is extra. Details: www.europafest.co.uk.
