A LATE fightback with 10 men saw Ashwater reach the Firewatch Devon Senior Cup third round.
Trailing 2-0 with 10 minutes to go they appeared to be heading out at Tipton St John. But Luke Potter and two goals from Tony Knight inspired a stunning 3-2 win.
Ashwater had used all their substitutes when Carl French went off injured.
However, Potter gave them hope and Knight beat two defenders to drill the equaliser into the top corner.
With extra time looming, Knight bundled in the winner from close range.
Halwill booked their place in the last 32 after an eventful second half at Putford.
It was goalless at the break but Pete Buckpitt's strike for Putford only seemed to spark Halwill to life. Jason Winser equalised with a 25-yard free kick, Johnny Knight put them 2-1 up and Sam Stockdale wrapped up a 5-1 win with a hat-trick.
Two goals from Steve Skinner and one for Ben Cobbett gave Park United a 3-1 win at Hemyock.
A halfway-line shot from Raith Whattingham inspired Braunton to a 3-2 win in a tough game at Newton St Cyres. Whattingham struck on the volley and James O'Sullivan scored twice, after both players had stepped up from the fourth team.
After trailing 3-0 at half time, Woolsery gave it a real go against a lively Newton Abbot side but ran out of time in a 3-2 defeat. Jack Smallridge and Simon Appleby brought them back within one goal.
It was a similar story for Landkey Town who went 2-0 down against Exmouth Town. Wayne Thomas crossed for Joe Gillard to pull one back and Toby Bennett put a late header wide as Exmouth held on to win 2-1.
Barnstaple FC's makeshift defence was put to the sword in a 7-2 defeat at Honiton Town. Connor Nash scored on his return from a hamstring injury and Tom Nash got the other goal.
Torridgeside fought back from 2-0 down at South Zeal United to level before bowing out 6-2. Harry Stevens and a Marc Bettiss (penalty) scored for Torridge.
Hatherleigh Town beat Holsworthy 4-2 in the derby.
Combe Martin and Shamwickshire Rovers suffered heavy defeats against Lympstone and West Exe Rovers respectively.
