KEVIN NANCEKIVELL is expected to remain on the coaching staff at Plymouth Argyle following the appointment of John Sheridan as manager.
Nancekivell, from Bradworthy, and fellow coach Romain Larrieu took charge of the team for Saturday's 4-0 defeat at Port Vale in Npower League Two.
Sheridan officially succeeded Carl Fletcher as manager this week.
The Herald, in Plymouth, reported that Nancekivell and Larrieu were likely to work with the new manager in the short term at least.
Barnstaple-born Nancekivell, 41, was appointed first-team coach by Fletcher in November 2011. He had previously spent eight years as a youth coach at the club.
