CRISPY roast potatoes, succulent meat and fresh vegetables covered in lashings of gravy. Beef, chicken, pork or a vegetarian nut-roast, traditional Sunday lunches are a firm favourite for many people.

Today we launch a new competition which invites you to nominate your favourite place to visit for a top notch roast.

We want to hear from you which pubs and restaurants in North Devon you think provide a delicious Sunday roast.

You have until Thursday, February 13 to get your nominations in. The top contenders with the most nominations will be visited by a judging panel.

The winner will be awarded with a certificate and a feature about them in the paper telling people why their roasts came up trumps.

Send your entries to Sunday Roasts, North Devon Journal, Avery House, Liberty Road, Roundswell Business Park, Barnstaple, EX31 3TL or email editorial@northdevonjournal. co.uk.
