MICHAEL HEARD started the new year in great style by riding a treble at Wadebridge.
The 19-year-old jockey, based in North Devon, won the men's open on Faasel, the restricted on The Wealerdealer and the confined on Googoobarabajagal.
Keith Cummings, who trains The Wealerdealer in Bishops Nympton, also had a win with Certain Flight at Larkhill, in Wiltshire.
He said: "My daughter Nicky (Boundy) does all the work with him and he's stronger this season and stays better."
Certain Flight was part of a treble for Will Biddick, the national champion jockey from South Molton, who also won on Mendip Express and Champagne Rosie.
