Television and radio presenter Jeremy Vine has appeared at a book festival in North Devon.
Mr Vine, best known for his current affairs show on BBC Radio 2, is among a number of celebrities to feature at the seventh Appledore Book Festival this week. Mr Vine, patron of the festival, gave a 'Why I Love the Radio' talk at the event on Saturday in which he spoke of his passion for the form of communication that has managed to survive through the digital age.
The festival began on Friday with talks and readings, along with a performance from the Military Wives Choir. Guests at the event include television presenters Richard Madeley and and Judy Finnigan, who will discuss their new life as writers with best-selling author Veronica Henry.
BBC Springwatch presenter Kate Humble will talk tomorrow about her book documenting her move to Wales, before Devon chef Michael Caines will discuss his passion for cooking on Thursday.
The festival runs until Sunday.
