A WELL-LOVED folk duo with an international following stop off at Bideford Folk Club next week.
Nancy Kerr is known for her earthy and exquisite fiddle and viola playing while James Fagan is master of the flat-backed bouzouki. With rich singing they tell stories through their songs.
Their energy and communication with each other has gained them a reputation for spectacular and unforgettable performances. Nancy has been in constant demand as both fiddler and singer, working internationally with Eliza Carthy in their groundbreaking duo which has produced three CDs.
In addition to her skills as a singing fiddler, Nancy has an extensive knowledge of the traditional English ballads and a passion and flair for crafting her own.
James also inherited his interest in music, being a member of Australia's premiere folk-singing family, The Fagans. He is well-respected as a specialist player of the Irish flat-backed bouzouki.
The two play Bideford Folk Club in the Joiners Arms, Bideford on Thursday, March 6, 8pm.
