IRISH traditional music sounds like just the right prescription to prolong last Saturday's St Patrick's Day celebrations. And that's just the tonic being served by Craobh Rua at The George Hotel on Friday.
The band promise to deliver Celtic fare at its finest, mixing rousing jigs, reels and polkas with tender ballads and airs. Theirs is a music driven by uillean pipes, fiddle, whistles and the exciting banjo and mandolin playing of group-founder Brian Connolly, with passionate vocals from Jim Rainey.
Craobh Rua are at The George Hotel, South Molton on Friday, March 22, 8.30pm. Tickets: £12.50 on 01769 572514 or visit www.wegottickets.com
