TRIATHLON

DAVID SPENCER has competed on the international stage for the first time.

The North Devon Triathlete entered the ITU Age-Group World Championships in Auckland, New Zealand.

His overall time of 2hrs 27mins 59secs gave him 70th from 93 athletes in the 25-29 age group and 484th overall.

Spencer and fellow club members Peggy Crome and Chiara Magarotto have qualified for the European Triathlon Championships in Turkey in June.
