UK TRADE and Investment (UKTI) is hosting Export Week from November 11 to 15. The week will feature a number of events across the South West to encourage businesses to start or expand export activities.
Events will include one-to-one meetings with specialists who can provide direct routes to market and new commercial opportunities as well as valuable insight from companies already exporting.
Russell Jones, regional director for UKTI in the South West, said: "There is an unbelievable appetite for British products and services overseas and there has never been a more opportune time to take advantage of these commercial prospects.
"With the overall value of exports from the South West increasing in the year to June 13 compared to the previous year, it is encouraging to see that more and more of the region's businesses are taking up the international trade challenge and benefiting from the support available to do so.
"Exporting is crucial to the growth of our regional economy and I am confident that we will continue to drive forwards for the remainder of this year and beyond."
Events include: Explore Export at the Thistle Exeter Rougemont hotel, Exeter on November 11; Explore Export at the Tortworth Court Four Pillars Hotel, Wotton-under-Edge, South Gloucestershire on November 12; and VentureFest at the UWE Exhibition and Conference Centre in Bristol on November 14.
