An own from Lewis Ovey condemned Ilfracombe Town to defeat against Street in the Toolstation Western League last night.
The Bluebirds were beaten 2-1 at Marlborough Park despite competing well against the unbeaten Somerset side.
Ovey, the summer signing from Boca Seniors, was unfortunate when his attempted clearance went past Kurtis Parkin.
Frank Paxton put Ilfracombe ahead with his second goal of the season after a set-piece from Liam Craze was headed on by Gary Skinner.
The equaliser came two minutes later when the rebound was buried after Parkin did well to save the initial effort.
Ilfracombe were unhappy when a penalty was given against Craig Allan in the last ten minutes but they stayed in the game as Parkin made an excellent save.
Substitute Shaun Lewis was denied a late equaliser by the Street goalkeeper.
Ilfracombe are in action in the FA Cup on Saturday with a trip to Plymouth Parkway, of the South West Peninsula League.
