Ilfracombe Town hope to match their away performance against Brislington when the sides meet again at Marlborough Park tomorrow.

Combe produced one of their best displays of the season to win 2-0 in Bristol in December with first-half goals from Frank Paxton and Mark Clunie.

That result ended a run of three defeats in the Toolstation Western League and Ross Middleton’s side will need a similar effort tomorrow to ease their relegation fears.

They remain in the bottom two after nine defeats in 10 games but have four crucial home fixtures to get out of trouble.

Steve Holland and Ed Yeo limped out of last week’s defeat at Radstock Town with hamstring injuries while Shaun Lewis is struggling with an ankle injury.

Gary Skinner, the defender, is recovering from a knock and Middleton hopes to have top scorer Stan Paxton back for the run-in.

Brislington are 11th in the Premier Division after a 1-0 win over Longwell Green Sports on Tuesday.

Ilfracombe have another vital home game on Tuesday, when Bishop Sutton, the bottom team, visit Marlborough Park.
