Holders Torridgeside were knocked out of the Brayford Cup with a 3-2 defeat to Ilfracombe Town in the first round.
Cassian Blackmore scored twice on Saturday as Combe booked a quarter-final meeting with Chittlehampton.
Rob Taylor headed them ahead from a corner in the first half after Danny Turton had saved a penalty from Torridgeside striker Marc Bettiss.
The home team were unable to take their chances and Blackmore, playing as a lone striker, made them pay with two quick goals to make it 3-0.
Torridgeside replied through Bettiss and Charlie Tubb but it was too little, too late.
Kevin Latham scored a hat-trick as Chittlehampton thumped Georgeham and Croyde 7-2.
