Ilfracombe Pilot Gig Club represented North Devon at the Three Rivers Race in Saltash.
The club took both racing boats, Rapparee and Rogue, with four crews to the event hosted by Caradon.
The sun was shining and, with minimal wind, the conditions were perfect for rowing.
The crews had to tackle a seven-mile course with six turns, taking in the Rivers Tamar, Lynher and Tavy.
The Ilfracombe ladies’ A team finished in 56mins 7secs for a creditable 14th place, with the B team 28th in 59-44 ahead of many A crews.
The men’s A team were ninth in 48-35 and the B crew 35th in 53-13.
