THE Tapeley Sessions welcomes two performers for its April instalment, to be held on Wednesday.

Devon-based harmonica player Ian Briggs, who has worked with the likes of The Yardbirds and won the National Harmonica League's top award, will join forces with local band AC Cobras to play a blend of West Coast blues, jump jive and swing.

Like Briggs, The Cobra's frontman Chris Stuckey has played alongside some of music's notable names – including Peter Green, Dr Feelgood and Wilco Johnson. He will give a solo acoustic performance for the support slot, showcasing a set of original songs.

Doors open at 8 for 8.30pm on Wednesday, April 30. Entry: £4.50 (full), £3 (concession). Details: www.tapeleymusic.info.
