Today will be the hottest day of the year so far in North Devon.
Temperatures could hit 24C in the South West and North Devon could see 22C, as high as anywhere previously recorded in the country this year.
There may be some cloud around North Devon today, particularly between 3pm and 4pm, but there is no chance of showers and overnight will be mild, with temperatures of 11C.
“Friday is the best day out of Friday, Saturday and Sunday,” said Met Office forecaster, Laura Young.
It could be cooler nearer the coast due to the sea breeze, but the Met Office is also warning members of the public to take precautions, with high UV levels predicted for the coastal regions.
