AGRICULTURAL training is now available with 50 per cent discount for those living in Torridge.

The Harvesting for the Future project aims to develop a programme of subidised training for farmers or land based businesses.

It’s aim is to provide a much needed resource which will help to improve the safety, productivity and performance of the industry, as well as to provide training for future generations.

Torridge District Council is working closely with Bicton College, Penbode Vets, Kivells, Holsworthy Town Council, the NFU, Cornwall Farmers, Coodes, and Harpers Home Mix to produce a mixed training programme which will be based around the Holsworthy Livestock Market and Holsworthy area.

For a Foundation Certificate in Food Hygiene on November 19 contact Bicton College on 01395 562347.

For courses in dairy youngstock on November 21,
