THE bright lights of one Yelland house will again light up the area this Christmas.

Grace McStay who lives in Linscott Crescent is putting on a bigger display than last year in memory of her husband Keith who died in 2010.

The couple's Christmas lights displays have raised around £26,000 for the Devon Air Ambulance but for the past two years the money has gone to Children's Hospice Southwest.

Grace did not put on a display in 2010 after her husband's death but said she decided to start putting up the lights again last year.

She will be dressing the windows of her bungalow as well as several of the rooms inside.

She said: "You would not believe what I have done. I have done all the inside myself.

"I didn't think I would ever do it again, but Keith loved his lights."

Despite selling a lot of her decorations Grace bought a few more during a visit to Essex, which she will display this year.

"There is a father Christmas and reindeer and some new things," she said.

The lights will be switched on at 5pm on November 29.
