LATE DOUBLE: Yeovil's Aidan Downes.

YEOVIL TOWN took more than half an hour to break down Royal Racing FC Montegnee — but they ended up crushing the Belgian side 5-0.

The student team from the lowest tier of professional football in Belgium held Coca-Cola League One club Yeovil to 1-0 at half-time in the Errea South West Challenge Cup clash at Appledore's Marshford ground.

French trialist Hamdi Rasak got that goal, knocking in a Kevin Gall cross from the right.

It was easier for Yeovil after the break. Ryan Mason scored from the spot on the hour, Nathan Jones made it 3-0 and Aidan Downes added a late double.

The result gives Yeovil three points and Royal Racing one in Group D.

Royal Racing meet Grimsby Town at Mill Road, Barnstaple, on Wednesday (7pm). Yeovil and Grimsby clash at Vicarage Field in Torrington on Friday (7pm).
