A BRAUNTON optometrist has reopened after damage from the December floods forced it to close.
Mark Adams Optometrist in Caen Street toasted its official reopening after a full refurbishment with a glass of bubbly and cakes.
The celebratory drink flowed all day as Mark and his team welcomed their loyal customers back after eight months of closure.
Mark said: "I would like to thank my staff for their hard work in sometimes very trying conditions, including sub zero temperatures and at times a building site.
"I would also like to thank all my loyal patients for their forbearance over the last few months.
"Braunton is a lovely place to work in and the last few months have emphasised to me what a tight-knit and friendly community it is.
"Along with all the other traders in Caen Street we hope never to have such an event again and look forward to seeing you all in due course."
