She didn't get hired as Sir Alan Sugar's apprentice — but now Bideford-born Katie Hopkins has applied for a new role as a Member of the European Parliament.
Katie, who got to the final three in BBC1's The Apprentice in 2007, is a candidate in the June 4 Euro elections.
She is the sole candidate for the "Katie Olivia Hopkins Independent" party.
Ms Hopkins became a media favourite during her time on the Apprentice and went on to briefly appear in I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here.
The former global brand consultant went to school at Stella Maris, now Kingsley School in Bideford, and North Devon College.
She was fired from her high profile job at the Met Office in Exeter following her shock exit from the Apprentice.
Two other European election candidates from North Devon are former Barnstaple teacher Ricky Knight, who is the Green Party's lead candidate, and Humphrey Temperley, who is one of the Liberal Democrat candidates.
