EMERGENCY services were called to a two-car crash on the A361 North Devon Link Road early on Monday.

The collision happened at around 5.30am, approximately one mile from Woolacombe Roundabout towards North Molton.

The road was closed at Bish Mill as Highway services cleared up oil and debris.

The crash involved a blue Hyundai Accent which is registered to an Ilfracombe keeper and a blue Kia Sorento which belongs to someone living in Bideford.

A spokesman for Devon and Cornwall police said the incident was described as not life threatening or life changing. He said: "An ambulance was called for minor injuries. One casualty was complaining of chest, arm and thigh pain."

Tiverton-bound traffic was diverted at Bish Mill and Barnstaple-bound traffic was diverted at Moortown Cross.

The road was reopened just after 8am.
