THE AEGON GB Pro-Series Barnstaple finalists hailed the event as a great success.
Annika Beck (pictured) beat Eleni Daniilidou in a three-set final at the Tarka Tennis Centre on Sunday, watched by a crowd of about 400.
Having arrived home in Greece, Daniilidou took to Twitter to thank the North Devon fans.
She wrote: "Guys..Your support in Barnstaple was just amazing!!!!many thanks to ALL of u,u gave me so much energy thru all the week, was so nice to play!"
Daniilidou, who was playing at Barnstaple for the first time, told the Journal: "It was perfectly organised and the support from the spectators, the staff was amazing.
"It was very comfortable for all of us, not just me. All the players were very happy, it was an easy tournament for us and I hope to be back next year."
Beck, the 18-year-old German, may have her sights on bigger things this time next year but said: "I love to play in England and I hope I can come back. Everyone was very nice to me."
