The Met Office is predicting a grey and dull day for North Devon today, with heavy cloud set to dominate much of the region’s weather.

Although some areas may experience sunny spells this morning, these are expected to quickly end as the cloud thickens before midday.

As a result, this will lead to some showers throughout the afternoon, though these should remain light and patchy. Temperatures could reach a maximum of 11C.

Heading into the evening, conditions are set to begin to worsen slightly, with the onset of heavy winds which may reach 35mph.

A few outbursts of heavier rain can also be expected, and although remaining rare will continue overnight.

Due to the cloudy conditions temperatures will remain high, dropping to a minimum of 7C.

Throughout the rest of the week conditions are expected to remain fairly similar, with a mix of cloud, light showers and occasional patches of sunshine.
