VIDEO: Former Ilfracombe Dogs Trust resident Bailey competes on TV

A FORMER Ilfracombe Dogs Trust resident has made his debut TV appearance.

Bailey the Border Collie took on a series of challenges on BBC Sport Relief's Top Dog last week.

Bailey, 4, was picked to appear on the show after his owner Dan Ewing applied, sending in a video demonstrating Bailey's agility.

Dan was thrilled about appearing on the show.

"Bailey has always been good at agility so when we found out about the show we knew he would be a perfect fit," he said.

"It was so exciting to be picked and he was such a trooper.

"It was a fantastic experience to be part of and a really great way for us to do our bit for Sport Relief. "

Ilfracombe Dogs Trust support relations officer Claire Joselin said it was exciting to have a dog from the trust on TV.

"Bailey is a talented boy so it was lovely to see him get to showcase some of his talents on national TV," she said.

"We're so proud of his achievements."

Although Bailey won his heat, he did not get through to the semi-finals and will not appear on the show again.
