A 15-year-old musician from Devon has made it through to the regional finals of a national open mic competition.
Holly Morwenna will be competing in Fareham, Hampshire, on Sunday, to try and gain a place in the national semi-finals of the Open Mic UK contest. If the singer, who is representing Devon, reaches the finals, she will earn the chance to sing at the O2 arena later this year.
Her father Lee Rawlings said if she makes it through she will be fulfilling a dream.
He said: "She has pure talent and when 'in the zone' is mesmerising to listen to and watch. I am very proud.
The youngster's songs on video-sharing website YouTube have gained nearly half a million views. Holly said it is all she has ever wanted to do. "I remember making songs up when I was four years old with my little brother, when were on holiday in Scotland. That was when I knew I wanted to be a singer," she said.
