AS if wheeling down the Tarka Trail on a fine summer's day isn't good enough, this weekend there will be an extra incentive. Over three days at Yarde Orchard, Petersmarland, many top North Devon musicians will perform.
Cycle To The Music 2013 boasts a line-up including Chris Stuckey, Sarbocca, Chris Millington, Judith Christie and plenty more, plus Yarde Café's usual fare of food, ales, ciders and wines on offer.
"Our aim is to encourage everyone to come by bike," said organiser David Jobe. "Besides parking not being too available here, we are keen to promote healthy lifestyles and minimise carbon footprints."
As well as the music and food, Yarde Café will be screening movies on two nights. On Friday, to mark the 36th anniversary of the king of rock'n'roll's death, Elvis – That's The Way It Is will be on the big screen. On Sunday it's the turn of Woodstock, Michael Wadleigh's famous documentary about the festival.
Cycle To The Music 2013 is at Yarde Orchard, Petersmarland from Friday, August 16 to Sunday, August 18. Opening 1pm until late. For accommodation and camping enquiries phone 01805 601778.
