A TORRIDGE gymnastics club has bought a new sprung floor thanks to a £12,000 cash boost.

County councillor Alison Boyle from Appledore donated the funds to North Devon Display Gymnastics Club from part of the sale of Exeter Airport.

Michelle Gordon, lead coach, said: "We are absolutely over the moon with the sprung floor. It is making a huge difference to all that the gymnasts and free runners can achieve.

"The club is grateful to councillor Alison Boyle for her support and encouragement.

"Bideford Town Council, The Bideford Bridge Trust and Councillor Boyle, have enabled us to create Bideford's own Olympic gymnastics legacy for all members of the community to use and enjoy."
