A young child has been taken to hospital following a crash on the A39 near Bideford this morning.

Police and ambulance crews were called to the scene on the A39 near the BIG Sheep at around 11.30am.

A Devon and Cornwall Police spokesman said a blue Ford Mondeo and grey MG ZS collided near the Abbotsham and Clovelly Road roundabout.

Two adults and a child were treated at the scene before being taken to North Devon District Hospital for treatment.

Police said none of the casualties had sustained serious injuries.
