CHESHIRE Cats, which opened last week at HATS Theatre in Holsworthy, is a touching tale of friendship with a poignant undertone.

Set in London, five girls are attempting to walk 13 miles across the capital in record time. Adorned in decorative bras and swanky new trainers, the sixth member of their team doesn't quite seem to meet the physical criteria...

We follow the team as they attempt to speed-walk their way to fundraising success, partaking in the London Moonwalk in aid of the Breast Cancer Charity.

"This is a comic drama intended to pay tribute to charity walkers, race organisers and marshals everywhere," director Sarah O'Connor said. "It brings forward the emotions many people feel when faced with members of the family who may be suffering from cancer."

A cross between a girls' night out and a meaningful mission, Cheshire Cats promises to draw tears and laughs from the audience as they support a cause close to many hearts.

Cheshire Cats is at HATS Theatre, Holsworthy, this Thursday, May 15, Friday, May 16 and Saturday, May 17. Doors: 7pm. Start: 7.30pm. Tickets: £8 (adults) £6 (concessions). Box office: 01409 253826 (open 10am to 3pm) or buy them on the door.
