Cash, tobacco and alcohol stolen from Ilfracombe home on Christmas Day

A family in Ilfracombe had their Christmas ruined after their home was broken into on Christmas Day.

The family, who live in the Oxford Park area, were attending a Christmas party when their home was broken into and cash, tobacco and alcohol was stolen.

Police said the thief or thieves smashed a patio door to gain entry to the property before searching all the rooms.

The suspect(s) stole £115 cash from one bedroom and a pouch of tobacco and a bottle of vodka from another bedroom.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the incident which occurred between 4pm on Christmas Day and 1am on Boxing Day.
