CHATTY man Alan Carr is returning to the Plough Arts Centre this March armed with his latest batch of witty banter. The Channel 4 star will be trying out his newest material on local comedy fans in preparation for his forthcoming tour.
"We are so excited that Alan Carr is returning to the Plough in March and now we also have Brian Conley and Ruby Turner booked in May," said marketing manager Julie Cooke. "It just goes to prove we earn our standing as the small venue with the big reputation."
It's not the first time the hugely popular comedian has chosen the Torrington venue to try out new material. In February 2011 tickets to see Carr sold out within 28 hours of the warm-up show being announced. Box office phones didn't stop ringing as word spread like wildfire about his visit.
It's expected that this Work In Progress gig on Monday, March 31, 8pm will similarly sell out very quickly.
Tickets: £14 (which includes a £1 donation to the Plough Survival fund) have already gone on sale for Plough supporters.
Tickets are limited to four per booking.
If you are not a Plough supporter, you can take this opportunity to become one.
Any unsold tickets will go on general sale on Friday, January 24. Box office: 01805 624624.
