CAROL Anne Diamonds continued their winning ways to keep the pressure on Titans Apollo at the top of the North Devon League first division.

Diamonds defeated Venners Bakery Vipers 48-35 to move within three points of Apollo.

The teams were only separated by one goal for three quarters of the match, but Diamonds were outstanding in the second quarter and pulled 14 ahead thanks to great play by Kelly Hawkings.

Woolacombe Bay Holiday Parks are dominating the second division and easily beat Carol Anne Amethysts 67-12 for their 13th win in 13 games.

In the third division, Coodes Cougars strode 11 points clear at the top with a 58-18 win over bottom side Hartland Harriers.

Carol Anne Quartz strengthened their hopes of taking the fourth division title by defeating fellow challengers Venners Pythons 22-18. Georgia Deeks was superb in defence, disrupting Pythons' play and starting Quartz's attacks.
