A car skidded on ice and crashed through a hedge before overturning into a field in Winkleigh this morning.
The Peugeot 307, which is registered to an address in Winkleigh, crashed after skidding on ice on the B3220 at Collacott Barton at around 7.25am.
Police said the woman driver was heading towards Morchard Road when the collision occurred.
The woman was clear and free from the vehicle when emergency services arrived and police said she was uninjured.
One fire crew from North Tawton attended the crash to make the vehicle safe.
Police directed traffic around the incident and put up ‘slow’ and ‘ice’ signs on the road to warn other motorists of the hazardous road surface conditions.
