GET ready for more tongue-in-cheek fun from Le Navet Bete. The comic theatre company has already had sell-out North Devon performances of their show, Once Upon A Time In A Western.
Now Beaford Arts has programmed further showings of the cowboy-themed spoof, which is set in the wild west town of Kidneystone.
Expect a host of colourful characters including Billy (the wholesome hero out for revenge), Loco Pedro (the villain), Sheriff Rudi, corrupt Mayor Naise and a banjo-playing cactus.
"We're really excited to be working with Beaford again," said Al Dunn of Le Navet Bete. "This will be our second rural tour with them and it's great fun performing to audiences on their home turf, in village halls. We enjoy the challenge of transforming those spaces into theatres for the day and the response from locals, be that heckles or them dragging us down the local pub with them after the show."
Exeter based Le Navet Bete will take audiences on a laugh-out-loud, fast-paced journey across the Wild West. The show mixes live music, physical comedy, a gang of inflatable Mexican baddies, sugar glass bottles and pistols at dawn.
"Le Navet Bete are going places fast," said Mark Wallace, director of Beaford Arts. "They're building an ever-increasing fanbase across the region, and with good reason – they're talented, sharp, and they're very, very funny."
