Braunton Parish Council voted unanimously to oppose plans for the array at its monthly meeting on Monday. The village is part of the North Devon AONB (Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty) which objects to the plans.
Ilfracombe Town Council also voted to oppose plans for the Atlantic Array at it's monthly meeting on Monday after a presentation from Mortehoe parish councillor, Kevin Cook, who is also a member of opposition group Atlantic Disarray.
Mr Cook said he had spoken to 672 tourists and 74 businesses in Woolacombe and Morethoe.
He said 79 per cent of tourists commented negatively on the plans, while 98.6 per cent of businesses anticipated a negative effect.
Councillors voted to oppose the plans with two abstentions.
