CHOCOHOLICS, the time has come to demonstrate your commitment to the creamy delight of the cocoa bean. You might be addicted to it as an endorphin-boosting snack but do you have any choccy stamina?

The Big Sheep's annual Chocolate Chomping Championship will take place at the family attraction near Bideford on Sunday. The winner of the competition will earn the crown of UK Chocolate Chomping Champion.

The only qualification you need to enter is to be crazy about chocolate.

The competition will involve munching away on various chocolate treats from chocolate bars and ice cream to covered fudge and toffee.

The Chocolate Championship is a fun event sponsored by Asda Bideford to raise funds for their chosen charity, Tickled Pink, which supports breast cancer charities.

"We will be supplying a delicious selection of chocolate that competitors will love to indulge in," said Peter Wilcox from Asda Bideford.

"The winner of the competition will win a box of our finest luxurious chocolates, but they don't have to eat them on the day as they may just have had their fill of chocolate for one day."

Even if you don't want to enter the competition but like indulging in chocolate then The Big Sheep will have free chocolate treats on offer.

Pheobe Gibb, the resident cook from the Big Sheep's Bo Peep restaurant promises to turn her restaurant into a chocolate cake zone.

"This will be a day when no-one is allowed to do any calorie counting but one to just enjoy a treat without guilt," she said.

To enter in this year's competition phone Nicole Hall or Claire Payne at the Big Sheep on 01237 472366 for an information pack and sponsorship form.
