A Bideford woman has pleaded not guilty to assaulting a policeman.
Katie Bateman, 26, appeared at North Devon Magistrates’ Court on Friday on three charges, including assaulting a police constable, ABH and assault by beating.
Bateman, of Stucley Road, Bideford, pleaded not guilty to the first charge and entered no plea for the ABH charge or assault by beating charge.
She is accused of assaulting PC Brown on August 25, causing actual bodily harm to Aaron McMahon and assaulting Richard Ball on the same day.
Presiding magistrate Mr Paul Cooper released her on conditional bail on the grounds she must not be drunk in a public place, must not contact the three alleged assault victims and must not enter Ceasers Palace nightclub in Bideford.
The case was sent to Exeter Crown Court to be dealt with on October 25.
