A BIDEFORD man is to face jury trial accused of dodging bar and restaurant bills at four restaurants and pubs in North Devon.
Loui Guinan, 23, pleaded not guilty to four offences of making off without payment during an eight day period in February.
Guinan, of Tower Street, Bideford, admitted four offences of making off without payment at the Durrant House Hotel, the Riverside Hotel, the Paramount Chinese restaurant and the Pizza Hut.
The offences took place on February 10 and 18 this year and involved bills of £16.85, £63.90, £178.50 and £84.15.
He also denied two offences of stealing mobile phones, which will be tried separately at Exeter Crown Court.
Judge Francis Gilbert, QC, set a trial date of April 1 for the offences involving the bars and restaurants and released Guinan on conditional bail.
