Bideford can look at tomorrow's opponents Yate Town as inspiration for an FA Cup run of their own.
Last season Yate, of the Calor League South and West Division, reached the FA Cup first round where they were beaten 3-0 by Cheltenham Town.
If the Robins can get through second round qualifying, they will have two more qualifying rounds to play before the possibility of drawing a Football League club in the first round.
Tomorrow's tie is worth £4,500 in prize money to the winning team.
Bideford play a division higher than Yate and are unbeaten this season but manager Sean Joyce is expecting a tough tie.
When they won the South and West Division in 2011/12, the Robins drew both fixtures with Yate.
"The year we went up we drew at our place and we got a last-minute penalty," said Joyce. "We were lucky to get a point out of that.
"We drew 3-3 at their place so they have got a bit of an Indian sign over us.
"They got to the FA Cup first round last year so they have got a bit of history in this.
"It's a good FA Cup draw. We are not travelling too far. It's a winnable game – which they are probably thinking as well.
Yate are 11th in their league with three wins, two draws and three defeats from their eight games.
Bideford make the journey to South Gloucestershire almost at full strength.
"Matty Bye has got the last game of his suspension," said Joyce. "Apart from that I think we've got a clean bill of health."
