Barnstaple's Ben Vellacott is in line to play for Scotland under-18s against England.
The scrum half has been named in a 30-man squad for a two-day training camp in Hamilton this weekend.
From that group, a team will be selected for the match with England at Darlington on Saturday, March 2.
On Sunday, Vellacott helped a Scotland Exiles team beat a Scotland Select side 23-15 in a trial game on an all-weather pitch at Murrayfield.
Vellacott, who lives in Mortehoe, qualifies to play for Scotland through his mother, Sandra Vellacott.
Last March, he was man of the match for Scotland under-17s in a 33-15 defeat to England.
He has made the No 9 shirt his own at Barnstaple this season with a string of impressive performances.
His appearances have been limited recently by his Exeter Chiefs Academy and Scotland commitments but he is expected to be available for Barnstaple's last five matches in National Three south west.
