A road in Barnstaple was blocked after a two car collision this afternoon.
St George’s Road was impassable after a VW Polo, registered to an address in Roundswell, and a Ford Focus, registered to Barnstaple, collided near to the traffic lights.
Two police units were called to the scene at around 3.40pm after one of the drivers involved in the incident rang 999.
Police said both drivers escaped uninjured, although one of the vehicles is no longer safe to drive.
The road was initially blocked in both directions between the Raleigh Meadow junction and the St Mary's Road junction.
However, the vehicles have since been moved to the side of the road to enable motorists to pass.
Traffic is likely to be congested in the area until the vehicles are recovered.
