A pole dancing instructor from North Devon has reached the final stages of a national competition.

Miranda Goldring, of Barnstaple, has reached the final stages in the instructor category of the UK Professional Pole Championships.

The 35-year-old, who has been providing pole dancing lessons for six years, is the owner and lead instructor of Pole Affinity in Barnstaple.

Last year, Miranda made it to the semi-finals of the same competition and is delighted to have made the finals this time around.

She said: “I can’t believe I got through.

“I’m really excited but quite nervous. I’m working really hard at the moment to learn the routine and polish it as much as I can.

“The number of applicants and the overall standard just keeps getting higher & higher each year.”

Miranda will be competing against 11 other highly skilled pole dancers from around the UK and is taking friends and her students with her for support.

She said: “I’m taking 12 other girls with me, some friends and some of my students. Hopefully it will encourage and inspire them.”

Miranda was put through to the final stages after receiving good feedback from the judges after enetering the competition with a video submission.

She will perform in front of 800 people at the grand finals, which will be held at the International Centre in Telford on Sunday, December 2.
