A 19-year-old man has been reported for driving offences after his car overturned on the A377 near Umberleigh on Saturday.
The man, from Barnstaple, was driving his silver VW Polo in the Chapelton area when it overturned at around 12.50pm.
Police and an ambulance were called to the scene of the crash, which occurred outside Chapelton Sawmills.
The man was out of the overturned car when officers arrived and he appeared uninjured but shaken-up.
He was taken to North Devon District Hospital by ambulance as a precaution, but is thought to have escaped unharmed.
Devon and Cornwall Police confirmed he had been reported for driving without due care and attention by officers at the scene. This means a file will be submitted by police to CPS for consideration for prosecution.
The road was completely blocked and had to be closed for just over two hours while the vehicle was removed from the middle of the road.
The incident was cleared by 3.05pm.
