Barnstaple Town scored two goals in the last five minutes to rescue a 2-2 draw at Wincanton Town this evening.

Barum trailed 2-0 at half time but turned it around in a positive second half with late strikes from Ryan Turner and Josh Phillips.

Defender Aaron Harper-Penman was pushed up front in the closing stages and his presence unsettled the home defence.

Turner scrambled a goal back after a cross from Billy Tucker was headed against the bar by Dave Pearse.

And Phillips, the centre back, turned in the equaliser for his first goal since joining from Fremington.

The point keeps Barnstaple fourth in the Toolstation Western League First Division ahead of the home meeting with Wellington on Good Friday.

Barnstaple Town: Jimmy Thorne, Kyle Paine, Aaron Harper-Penman, Josh Phillips, Ross Jones, Billy Tucker, Jack Jenkins, Lee Francis, Shaun Copp, Dave Pearse, Ryan Turner. Subs: Cory Roach, Mitch Cisneros, Liam Gregory, Jed Harper-Penman, Ryan Draper.
