A BRAUNTON toddler / baby class is among Britain's best after
being nominated for a top national award.
The Noisy Nippers class, run by local mum Cathy Ogden, is in the
running to scoop the top prize from the UK's biggest parenting site Netmums.com.
The music activity class, which runs at South Street Evangelical
Church in Braunton on a Friday morning, sees mums and their babies, toddlers
and pre-schoolers singing, moving and playing lots of instruments as well as
enjoying scarves, bubbles and the parachute!
Now this class will go through to the final national vote with
winners announced on June 21.
Cathy is urging local parents to vote for the class and put
Noisy Nippers and Braunton on the map.
She said: "Parents tell me that these classes are the highlight
of their child's week, so it's so exciting to be recognised in this way. I'd
love for us to win the award and show we really are something special.
Last year over a million mums cast their votes as part of the
awards. Voting is open until June 17, simply go to the North Devon section of
Netmums.com and vote.
Netmums founder Siobhan Freegard said: "All the evidence shows
that fun pre-school activities help kids blossom and give parents fun time too.
That's why we wanted to celebrate all they have to offer with these awards.
"Local mums and dads will be delighted to know that Braunton,
has some of the best classes in the country."
