RESIDENTS opposed to the proposed Atlantic Array development are set to make a final push as the window for public consultation draws to a close.
Opposition group Slay the Array will march through Barnstaple High Street on Saturday in a bid to raise awareness of the project.
Starting at 11am, members of the group will also be on hand to provide advice to people interested in registering an objection.
Group spokesman Steve Crowther said: “We are now reaching a critical phase in the process.
“We want to make sure that everybody knows what sort of effect this would have on the area and how they can help prevent this from happening.”
The march will be followed by a public meeting at Park Hotel, which will see a number of figures speak out against the project, including North Devon Conservative candidate Peter Heaton-Jones.
Councillor Alan Rayner inform members of the public about the best way to register their opinions.
Mr Crowther said: “Alan is an important third party expert. He believes it is vital that everybody that has an opinion on the plans should make it official.”
